Ron Davis and Matthew attended the
Festival of Trees together.  One on
one time makes a huge difference in
the lives of our youth!
Fred Giltzow is such a great example of
supporting and encouraging his mentee
Daquon.  Daquon just finished his first year
on the football team at Pinecrest High
School.  Way to go Daquon.
Rebecca Collins took Antoinette to visit Dr.
Dempsey at Sandhills Community College.
Dr. Dempsey is a huge believer in helping
people realize and achieve their dreams.
Bob Rose and Neill were able to
go deep sea fishing together.
What a great experience to
expose your mentee to Bob!
Moore Buddies is a private, non-profit agency dedicated to the
youth in Moore County who are at risk of not reaching their full
potential due to a variety of factors.  Youth who are in need of a
positive adult role model, close monitoring of school, home, and
community behavior, as well as opportunities to learn social,
recreational, vocational and educational skills can benefit from our
agency.  Moore Buddies believes that one caring adult can make a
significant difference in the life of a child and operates under the
premise that when we impact a child's life in a positive way we can
change the future.

The Moore Buddies mentoring program matches adult volunteer
mentors who are willing to give their time, energy, and compassion
to a youth for one year.  Our mentors work with young people who
are between the ages of 6 and 17 and face many challenges.  A
mentor can help set and achieve goals, improve behaviors and raise
self-esteem.  Our mentors spend an average of 2 hours a week for a
year with their young person working on goals and skill building.
Moore Buddies offers activities throughout the year to support and
encourage these friendships.
